Sarah Moore Says What We’re All Thinking
I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen a hetero couple out on a bike ride together and it appears as if the guy is actually doing everything possible to ensure that his s/o hates cycling, except he somehow thinks he’s doing everything right. I always want to ride up to those women and whisper, “It doesn’t have to be like this” and then ferry them away and magically induct them into the network of incredible local WTF bike teams. Anyways, this article totally nails that sentiment.
Wild Rye Launches 2019 Line
It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with Wild Rye. I have 2 pairs of the Freel Short and a chammy and I LOOOOOVE them all. The fit is perfect, and the fabric is stretchy, but sturdy enough to have some structure and take a crash without ripping. Plus the pockets are actually big enough to put stuff in. Every time I wear these shorts I get compliments. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the launch of their new line and their new product does not disappoint.
Donate Your Used Outdoor Gear
Wylder Goods (a rad WTF-owned online shop of curated outdoor/lifestyle goods) is doing a gear drive for Greening Youth Foundation from April 4–May 5. From their website: “GYF is the leading youth service organization in the United States focused on natural resource management careers for diverse young people that has been historically underrepresented and underserved in these spaces.” Donate and get $10 to spend at Wylder.
This is How to Be an Ally 👏👏👏👏👏
Imagine this: You’re a cis white dude who works for Rapha and you’re given the assignment, “cover Paris-Roubaix.” It would be really easy to literally do just that, but Harry and Stu spent a solid chunk of this episode talking about how there is NO WOMEN’S PARIS-ROUBAIX. A good lesson for all of us who want to be better allies. Go above and beyond. Think outside the box. Use your privilege! Check in around the 3-minute mark.
